When you meet DaShawna and Jonathan Clark of Herbetarian, you know right away they deeply care about their community’s health and quality of life. They offer such a wide variety of products aimed at enhancing your wellness in a natural holistic way.

From a young age DaShawna learned about natural approaches to health from her paternal great grandmother. But the couple’s interest in natural wellness products was heightened by Jonathan’s Mother’s diagnosis of stage 4 lung cancer. They were shocked by the medical team’s vehement rejection of any natural aids to her treatment.

This difficult experience prompted a deep dive into a tremendous amount of research. DaShawna explained, “We collaborated with older generations of native people to understand how we can heal ourselves. We also read a lot of historical books from the 1400’s to the 1800’s.”

They began hand crafting herbal supplements and teas using ingredients like mullein, bladderwrack, burdock root, and Irish moss. Jonathan summed up their guiding mission by remarking, “We wanted to empower people to know about natural health products and how they can heal themselves naturally. We wanted to put the power back into their hands.”

This led them to expand their line-up to include not only teas and supplements, but raw herbs, tonics, salves, body butters, essential oils and more. Their website serves as an extensive resource for understanding the benefits of specific herbs and all of their natural wellness products.

DaShawna and Jonathan do all of the production themselves! In December they even opened a store at Regency Square Mall and started an indoor farmers market there on Sundays…all while home schooling four kids!

At Good Foods Grocery you can find a wealth of Herbetarian’s teas, like their unwind blend, zesty turmeric and liver cleanse, as well as their sea moss products. GFG is a great home for Herbetarian’s products with DaShawna remarking, “We really connected with the staff. It’s a store you can trust.”

Come meet DaShawna and Jonathan at GFG! Ask your burning questions and sample their wellness products at the Vendor Day on Friday September 4th from 1-3 pm!
