Serving Richmond since 1985

Good Foods Grocery began serving Richmond in 1985 at Stony Point Shopping Center. Our business steadily grew, and we doubled our size in 2012. Presently in 2020 we look to add on another 25%.

We have a mission at Good Foods Grocery and it is to honor God by supporting our customers at their different levels of nutritional maturity, by providing exceptional and memorable customer service, and by selling products that are as natural, wholesome, and uplifting to nutritional well-being as possible.

This mission statement sums up who we are. If I have heard it once, I’ve heard it a thousand times. “Donnie, you have the best staff.” And we do!

When you enter our store, your eyes will be greeted with organic and local produce, as well as a host of fresh products like our home-made sweets and locally baked breads. Then you will enter the world of 450 bulk bins of flours, grains, nuts, mixes, dried fruit, granola and much more. Then behold our 400 jars of herbs and spices. The beauty of the food truly speaks for itself. Additionally, there are many great choices, from supplements and body care, to groceries, refrigerated, and frozen. Then when you come across our deli and see the busy team members making such scrumptious food, you will be endeared to our healthy home-made fresh foods.

REAL LOCAL RVA

Real Local RVA is a grassroots group of independent, small grocery stores, restaurants, breweries, small farmers, farmer’s markets, value added producers and supporters dedicated to growing the local food scene in Richmond and the surrounding area. The purpose of the group is to support the businesses who are growing, creating and selling local food and drink, and help to build a more collaborative local food system.

Our mission is to educate, support and raise awareness of the local food movement and choices in the Greater Richmond area.
