On a daily basis, Good Foods Grocery usually hosts our in-store round Up where we donate the money from your rounded purchases to the Central Virginia Food Bank. For the month of September, we will host a different recipient.
The Washburn family lives just miles from GFG and they have been dealing with any parents’ worse nightmare. Around Christmas of 2021, their four-year-old daughter, Eleanor, was diagnosed with Stage Four Brain cancer. It’s been seven and a half months and Eleanor’s treatments are intense, especially for someone her age. In addition to the emotional turmoil the family is going through, the financial aspect of this process is both draining and stressful.
With the help of our GFG family, we want to make sure this family gets a much help as they need. The family also has a GoFundMe, if you would like to share or give more. Remember, you can add more to your round up when you checkout. The round up will be for the entire month of September.
